Motchi's

Mochi is a traditional Japanese rice cake crafted from mochigome—a sticky, short-grain japonica rice. It’s often combined with ingredients like water, sugar, and cornstarch. After steaming, the rice is vigorously pounded into a smooth, elastic paste and shaped as desired. In Japan, this process is customarily performed during a ceremonial event known as mochitsuki.
